Middle School EDGE offers a youth ministry format geared to the younger adolescent, utilizing materials by Lifeteen's EDGE program. Our program seeks to nourish the spiritual development of youth through faith learning and liturgical experiences, to foster a commitment to others through service opportunities, and to develop a sense of parish community by providing optional social events for our middle school youth. Permission slips for all optional events can be found on our Middle School Events page. Please register in advance. Confirmation preparation begins in the 8th Grade. All 8th graders must attend PSR or an Archdiocesan approved school to be on track to celebrate the sacrament in the Fall of 10th grade. Candidates who missed previous sacraments may need additional prepration. Visit the Confirmation page for more information.

Middle School PSR sessions offer catechesis in a youth ministry format geared to the young adolescent with an emphasis on fellowship and active learning. Sessions follow the Gather, Proclaim, Break, Send structure that keeps them active and engaged. The curriculum follows the EDGE Middle School Resources by Life Teen. All sessions are 90 minutes and include a light snack/social time before our session begins. The morning session meets in the Auxiliary Gym at Blessed Trinity High School with donuts from 10:10-10:25 am. The evening session meets in McNamee Hall at St. Peter Chanel with pizza from 6-6:30 pm.
*Sessions are generally held at Blessed Trinity High School but are subject to change on occasion. Watch for updates in the bulletin and via Constant Contact emails from your Program Coordinator.
Young adolescents who see their parents and other parish members, particularly younger adults and college students, involved in our middle school programs are encouraged by their example. And you will be surprised when you give of your time and talent at how much more you receive in return! There are many and varied opportunities for you to volunteer in middle school faith formation. Your help and support are essential in maintaining high-quality programs for our middle school youth. Visit our PSR Volunteer Information page for information on volunteer roles and responsibilities. Please prayerfully consider helping in one of these areas and register online:
