The mission of Youth Ministry at St. Peter Chanel is to create environments for teens to fall in love with Christ,
to grow in community with one another,
and to learn their role as a member of the Body of Christ.

General Information

Youth ministry is divided into two branches: EDGE for Middle School and Life Teen for High School. Our programs offer a wide range of options for teens looking to increase their faith, deepen their love for Jesus Christ and learn more about the teachings of the Church. We provide a variety of spiritual and service opportunities for all teens of the parish.

EDGE

EDGE works in collaboration with PSR, meeting at 10:30 am Sunday morning and 6:30 pm Sunday evenings. Social and service opportunities are offered throughout the year for all middle school parish youth. For more information, visit our Middle School pages.

Life Teen

Life Teen regularly meets on Sunday Nights after the 5PM mass, from 6-8, for Life Nights and Wednesday nights from 7-9 PM for Bible Study from 7-8 and Game Night from 8-9. In addition to regular programming, we have Service Saturdays once a month, various social events and outings, and occasional weekend events and retreats offered throughout the year. Scroll down to the calendar to see what we have coming up next, or check out the Events Tab for dates and information of what’s coming up!

Unlike PSR, teens are not required to formally pay and register for Life Teen, but we do like to ask for information to better serve the teens as well as to ensure we have proper contact and emergency information. If your teen has not filled out a form at a Life Night or other event, please fill out a form here: Youth Ministry Teen Registration Form

See our Teen Service & Volunteers page for details about how teens can become more involved in our parish as SPC Teens or as volunteers for our parish ministries. Adult support is essential in maintaining high-quality programming for our high school youth. Looking for a little something extra? Visit our Resources page for articles, videos and resources that will help you grow in your faith.

Parental Consent Forms

In order to ensure proper use of electronic communication in relation to our minors, the PSR department, using the Safe Environment policies of the Archdiocese as a foundation, has established a protocol for staff communication with minors. Please review the PSR Policy for Communication with Minors. If you would like to authorize these communications, please submit a completed Parental Consent Form for Communication with Minors to the PSR Office.
